12 Weeks To Better Photos - Week 1

I have always wanted to take nice clear professional looking pictures of Leila (and now Gavin).  A year ago we bought a Nikon D60 to take "professional pictures" but they are just not "perfect". I decided to follow allow with the 12 Weeks to Better Photos program to learn some photo skills.  Here is the link to the lessons for each week. http://sites.google.com/site/biowbiow002/01-ApertureBasicTraining_weekone.pdf  After I learn better photos I would like to learn how to edit with photoshop!

It was quite windy out so I had a hard time focusing on the tree branch leading to blurry pictures but I got the point of lesson 1.

Amy and Joe's Wedding Weekend

Amy and Joe got married in Eau Claire on Saturday.  We had a wonderful time staying at "grandma" Wandas for the weekend.  Leila loved Wanda cat, dog, toys, food...ok Wandas house in general. 

Friday night we had rehersal and dinner at Sammy's pizza...boy was that pizza good!  Amy's friend Angie makes cakes and she brought this to dinner.  It even has there dog Otto :)

Beautiful Day

What a gourgeous day out!  Both kids enjoyed the weather.  Leila is really into picking all of our "flowers" and she has plenty to pick!

Were Going to the Zoo

Gavin and I picked up Leila from camping and then went to pick up Heather for our trip to the zoo!  Leila fell asleep in the car and was really upset that I woke her and she was scard of Heather so it resulted in Leila riding with Gavin in the single stroller and crying.  I only brought the single stroller because I figured Leila would want to walk and go see all the animals but we made do with the single until Leila calmed down. 

Once we got into the zoo Leila was her normal self again.  Our first stop was the turtle statue.  I'm guessing Leila could have stayed all day with the turtle.  She would tell other kids that walked up to it that it was "mine".

Our next stop was Sammy the Seal.  He was not performing today so we had to visit him inside.  Leila wanted to go swimming too.

Our trip took us past the zebras, giraffes, ram and raindeer but Leila loved the Lions and Tigers best.

Leila also loved the monkey statue.  Doesn't see look like a little lady?

And our last store before crankyville was the childrens play area.  Leila loves the water area and was soaked before leaving.

Gavin and Mommy time

Gavin and I had Friday night until Sunday morning to ourselves.  Chad went aways for trout opener and a camping weekend and Leila went camping in the camper with Grandma, Grandpa and Logan.  I think Gavin loved being the center of attention and having a quite house.  He took 2 1.5 hour naps and slept great at night (well great for Gavin). 

Gavin loved going outside and actually walked in his walker down the yard. 

We even went on our first bike ride and he really enjoyed.

And we finally hung up his wall letters in his room.
