Life has been hectic with Leilas birthday, her party and Easter!  Here are somethings we did in April.

Played a lot of dollhouse.  Leila loves to have them eat, use the bathroom, sleep and drive in the car.

Leila's 3rd Birthday Party!

Leila had a blast.  Thank you everybody for coming!

We had a Cat in the Hat theme for Leila's party.  When looking around for cake ideas I found some really cute cupcake that were supposed to look like Thing 1 and Thing 2.  I was warned that the cotton candy "hair" wouldn't last long so I didn't put it on until 30 minutes before party time.  When the turkey came out of the oven the heat started melting the cotton candy fast so I got some cupcake pictures at the start of the party.

3 year olds have the silliest smiles

My trick to a cute smile was to ask her to say "me".

The food consisted of Green Egg & Ham (of course), strawberries/whip cream to look like the Cats hat, blue jello with swedish fish to look like one fish two fish and then not "Cat in the Hat" themed food (buns, potatos, cold salad).

Grandma made Leila some really cute Cat in the Hat signs to hang around the house.

The birthday girl patiently waited to open her presents.  I had asked anybody would asked what Leila wanted to get her "Fisher-Price Loving family dollhouse" items.  She got many pieces and a few doubles so we will exchange those for some sets she doesn't have.

Cake time!  We know Leila and we know she only eats frosting off her cake so we got her a DQ ice cream cake too!  It was a good thing because the "hair" on the cupcake didn't look too good by now.
