Mini Birthday Party with Grandma, Grandpa and cousins

Grandma, Grandpa, Lucas and Michael came up to visit today.  When Leila got up from her nap Grandma brought her a cupcake and birthday present to her room.  Leila was a little shy at first since but after that it was pretty neat (BTW she asked where her cupcake was the next morning).

She was afraid to blow out the candle so we brought her downstairs so she could try again, eat it and open her gift.  She got a book, new shoes and new socks.

Grandma also brought Leila and Gavin and Easter gift.  Leila got playdoh and Gavin got an Easter plate.

Leila and Gavin ended their day with some reading and snuggle time.

Leila's Birthday Present

It's the Kidkraft Large Kitchen. It's now covered with a moving blanket and I can't wait until she gets to "open" it on Saturday! Chad made the white cabinet on the side for more storage...it still needs a handle.

Smiles

Leila has never been a child that smiles for the camera.  Its not that she doesn't smile...she just won't when I pull the camera out.  When I get smiles they are soooo cute!

And I love when you ask her to smile for the camera.

Gavin on the other hand is always full of smiles and always has smiles for me.

Leila loves being outside.  It was finally nice enough out to play outside for a while and she loved it!

Swinging...she is really getting into swinging now that Gavin uses the swing if she doesn't.  She has been good using the "big" swing too.

We are doing and Elmo theme for Leila's 2nd birthday.  I put together Leila's invitations during her nap.  She was so excited when she woke up and saw all the Elmos on the counter.  Aren't they cute?

March Playdate

We get together with a few other moms that live in the area once a month.  This month we celebrated Lane's 1st Brithday.   Leila can't wait until it's her turn to blow out the candles.  I will not be posting pictures of the other baby from our group since I don't have permission but here are a few of Leila from the day.

Gavin is 7 Months Old!!!

Where or where does the time go?  It feels like just last week Gavin wasn't even here yet.  Now I have this handsome, smiling, crawling big baby boy! If only he would sleep all night :)
